Travel Tips
Via Train!
There is a charming train ride from Montreal to Quebec City and back. If you have the time, etc., I’d suggest that you do either the outbound or departure via the train. You could also do roundtrip via the train. A suggestion is to fly into Montreal, stay a night, and then take the train ride to Quebec City. I like the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth because the train is in the bottom of the hotel. There is also lots to do in Montreal. You are on your own for that info!

Via Air:
Direct flights to Quebec City appear to be available as follows:
EWR – United
PHL – AmericanAirlines
ORD-United & AmericanAirlines
Connecting flights are readily available from a host of departure cities.
If you fly, here are some things I found when traveling:
You can connect via Air Canada, United, American, and Delta through Montreal or Toronto. I would suggest connecting through Montreal over Toronto simply due to the size of the Toronto airport – but I have done Toronto and it went great. You will do customs on your layover in either Toronto or Montreal.
Toronto Airport:
It is a long walk between the concourses. Customs is in-between and seemed to go quickly. I was lucky with the timing of the entire process. Overall, I was able to walk at a quick brisk off my first plane, walk to customs, and walk to the next plane in another terminal in under 30 minutes. Wear comfortable shoes! If you don’t have the MPC app. I’d suggest downloading it. It will save you time. After the conference, if I see you at the airport, and you are in front of me because I’ve tipped you off to MPC….you have to let me in front of you!
Montréal Airport:
It’s also a long walk between US arrivals and connection flight to Québec City. Cdn Custom process is fast. If going to Fairmont Queen Elizabeth Hotel, taxi or Uber is the way to go.
Rental Cars, Taxi, Uber: All are readily available at the Quebec City Airport. There is lots of greatness within walking distance to the hotel. If you have questions regarding if you should rent a car – please contact the hotel concierge to see their thoughts on the matter.
