NCUMA’s "Bring a Gift Card!” Program

NCUMA will be collecting gift cards at the conference to support the needs of those that have lost so much in the devastating fires in Lahaina.  We invite you to give back to the community that has brought us so much joy over the years by simply packing an extra gift card in your suit case to bring with you!

NCUMA has reached out to various organizations to offer additional services.  We will be updating this page as to any other volunteer opportunities available to our attendees come November.  Obviously, this is a fluid situation with changing needs.  As thing evolve, we will notify attendees of anything area leaders believe would be most helpful to them.

We invite you to visit the National Credit Union Foundation’s web page!

One of the three areas of work of the Foundation is CUAid - a disaster relief portal to help credit unions, their employees and volunteers back on their feet so they can serve members equally impacted by the disaster. See https://www.ncuf.coop/

They working closely with Maui credit unions and the HI league to distribute relief grants. If attendees are interested in supporting this, here is the link to donate: https://secure.givelively.org/donate/national-credit-union-foundation/cuaid

The Hawaii Credit Unions have their own individual charitable initiatives as well as collaborative efforts for fundraisers and donation collections.

The following links share how people can help which includes both tax-deductible organizations like Maui Food Bank, or NCUF and CUAid, or non-tax-deductible funds such as the Valley Isle Chapter - HCUL account and a GoFundMe account link provided by the Chapter. Additionally, special disaster aid loans are being offered such as the one noted below by Hawaii State FCU.
