NCUMA Optional Networking Activities:

Napali Coast Sunset Catamaran Networking Experience

Sunday, November 3

Departure from Hotel: 2:30 PM

Return to Hotel: 7:00 PM

Pricing: $307.00 per person

This event provides a great opportunity to network with other Credit Union NCUMA Conference Attendees!

You will be welcomed aboard a luxury motorcoach featuring wide side windows to allow views along the way. The driving distance to this location is approximately 25 minutes.

The adventure begins as you board a luxury sailing catamaran for your 3.5-hour Sunset experience, appreciating Kauai’s astounding beauty from the sea. As you are eating, and sipping, you will learn about the island’s history, legends, and culture while also admire watching the ocean wildlife! Common species observed on Kauai boat tours include Hawaiian spinner dolphins, flying fish, green sea turtles, pelagic sea birds, and seasonally (November- April), massive North Pacific Humpback Whales that have migrated 3,000+ miles from their summer feeding grounds in Alaska to their “winter home” in our warm Hawaiian waters, where they mate and calve. Activity Time: Port Allen 3:00pm – 6:30pm

Footwear - Before you board, you will be asked to remove your shoes and socks to experience an authentic Hawaiian barefoot sailing experience. Please note - Afternoons could be windy, which makes for terrific sailing weather. Bring a sweatshirt or windbreaker, and sunglasses, and get ready to set sail!

Occasionally due to unusual weather conditions, snorkeling can be undesirable along Kaua’i Coast Lines. On these days, the Captain will choose the best alternate snorkel location(s).

You will stay well-fed and hydrated on this tour with a creative selection of cold beverages, including juices, sodas, domestic and Hawaii craft beers, hard seltzers, red and white wine, sparkling wine, and their signature Koloa Rum Mai Tais. All meals are prepared fresh daily by local caterers, using wholesome ingredients, right down to the sauces. The service ware and linens are reusable, making them the only Kaua’i boat tour operator to be certified an Ocean Friendly Restaurant by the Surfrider Foundation.

Upon return, you will be served their very popular Kaua’i Coffee Coconut Caramel Crunch Brownies for dessert, and at sunset, a sparkling wine toast to finish off a memorable evening for everyone!

Pupus:

Meat, cheese & cracker platter, veggie crudités, homemade ranch dressing & roasted red pepper hummus.

Aloha! Over 50 years ago, Grandpa started Smith's family business in the sacred Wailua River Valley. They created a tropical paradise to celebrate the Hawaiian spirit of aloha that he loved and lived by. Today, four generations of Smith family members continue to honor that tradition with the most famous of Hawaiian celebrations, the luau. Come share the traditions of their island home and become part of their ‘ohana.

Of course, the heart of any luau is the pa‘ina, the feast, and they will make sure you don’t go hungry. Kalua pig roasted in the earthen imu oven. Cousin Gary’s secret recipe for teriyaki beef. Ono mahimahi and tasty chicken adobo. Their family bowl of poi (which Grandma insists you try). They’ll even get some of you up on stage to try some hula moves as dinner winds down.

Food may be the heart of a luau, but music is the soul.  Hawaiian ancestors preserved their history by passing down songs and chants called mele. At the luau, we will celebrate these traditions, as well as the songs and dances from other cultures that live in our tropical paradise. The lyrical sway of the Hawaiian hula, the colorful precision of the Tahitian drum dances and the fiery emotion of the Samoan fire knife dance all speak deeply of the people who have come to call Hawaii home. We proudly share this rhythm of aloha with you.
