Getting to the beautiful Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel:

 

The closest airport to Banff is Calgary (YYC)

Calgary to Banff - Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel is approximately 1h 30m by car and approximately 1h 50m by shuttle.  If you choose to take a shuttle, it drops you off and picks you up right at the Fairmont Banff Springs.

 

“Banff Airporter” is our official transportation partner during this conference with a 15% for conference attendees and guests. This service must be reserved in advance of the conference to ensure transportation is available to you.  You will receive a 15% discount on their daily shuttle service between the Calgary Airport and Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel. This special rate is valid for travel dates between August 30th - September 10th if reservation is made at least 1 week prior to the event start.  Click Banff Airporter and then “Book Now”.   Proceed through the reservation inputting all the requested information regarding your itinerary.  When you get to the “Shopping Cart” look for the “Promo Code” field type - NCUMA - in the "Promo Code" section on the final payment page to receive the discount. 

 

Should you rent a car or take a shuttle?

This is personal preference.   If you have questions, please contact the hotel concierge to gather more details.

 

There is a great shuttle from the hotel into the town shopping area that runs frequently.

 

All major car rental agencies are represented at the Calgary International Airport, and some are in the Banff town site. 

Reservations are required. There is a Hertz office located in Fairmont Banff Springs.

• Valet Parking: $49 CAD/night, with unlimited access

 

Hotels in YYC:

If you prefer to arrive at YYC, and spend the night before traveling to Banff, there are two YYC Airport in-terminal hotels located in the airport terminal (the Delta Hotel Calgary Airport In-Terminal & Calgary Airport Marriott In-Terminal Hotel).  NCUMA does not have any conference discounts for these hotels.
